About VOICE

Built by someone who knows
exactly how the system works.

VOICE was founded by a former White House lawyer who spent a decade watching who gets heard in Washington — and why. Corporate interests are consolidated, well-funded, and professionally organized. Citizens actually hold far greater financial power in aggregate — but it is diffuse, uncoordinated, and has never had a mechanism to be pooled. VOICE is built to change that.

It started with
a piece in the New York Post.

In early 2026, Dan Huff published an op-ed in the New York Post about DEI hiring practices in commercial aviation — specifically, the push by major airlines to hire pilots based on demographic targets rather than merit and experience. The piece was direct. It named names. It made the argument that passengers deserved to know what was happening in cockpit hiring decisions that affected their safety.

Despite Trump's Efforts, Airline DEI Programs Are Still Risking People's Lives
The piece prompted the Department of Transportation to issue a corrective rule within three weeks of publication.

The piece worked. The Department of Transportation issued a corrective rule within three weeks of publication. Not because of a petition. Not because of a social media campaign. Because a well-argued piece in a major publication put pressure on the right people at the right moment.

But here is what stayed with Dan after that: the op-ed worked because he knew how to write it, where to place it, and what pressure points it would hit. He had spent years inside the White House, on Capitol Hill, and at federal agencies. He understood the ecosystem. Most Americans don't have that. They feel the same frustration — about pilot safety, about pharmaceutical pricing, about visa programs being used against them — but they have no mechanism to translate that frustration into professional action.

"I watched the airline safety story unfold and thought: passengers are furious. They have every right to be. And there is not a single registered lobbyist working on their behalf. The airlines have dozens. Why should that be acceptable?"

— Dan Huff, Founder

The aviation DEI story crystallized something Dan had understood intellectually for years but now felt concretely: the imbalance in Washington is not about corruption — it is about organization. Corporations and trade associations are consolidated. They have shared financial interests, professional representation, and year-round presence in the right offices. Citizens often outnumber them and outspend them in aggregate — but they are diffuse. Consider aviation alone: more than 100 million Americans fly every year. If just 10% of them contributed $10 toward a single lobbying campaign, that would dwarf what the entire airline industry spends on lobbying in a year. The money is there. What has never existed is an easy, trusted way to pool it. VOICE is built to provide exactly that.

VOICE is the answer to that gap. Not petitions. Not social media outrage. Not contact-your-representative portals that go nowhere. A real platform that connects real citizens with real registered lobbyists — funded collectively, accountable to contributors, and built by someone who knows exactly which levers to pull.

Founder

Dan Huff

Founder & CEO, VOICE

Dan Huff has spent more than a decade at the center of federal policymaking — moving between the White House, Capitol Hill, and the agencies that execute federal law. He built VOICE because he watched that system up close long enough to understand the structural imbalance at its core: consolidated corporate interests on one side, and diffuse citizen interests on the other — more numerous, but without the professional infrastructure to match.

Dan served as a senior advisor in the White House during President Trump's first term, handling special projects assigned directly by the President that required creative thinking and rapid execution. Before that, he served as General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Enforcement at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, managing a team of more than 400 people responsible for federal housing enforcement nationwide.

He came to the executive branch from Congress, where he served as counsel to the Chairmen of both the Senate and House Judiciary Committees — overseeing congressional supervision of every component of the Department of Justice. Prior to Washington, he was a management consultant at McKinsey and Company in New York. He holds a law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.

Dan's writing has moved federal policy directly. A piece in the New York Post on DEI hiring in aviation prompted the Department of Transportation to issue a corrective rule within three weeks. A Wall Street Journal op-ed on injunction bonds prompted an Executive Order from the President. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Fox News, The Hill, the Los Angeles Times, and the National Law Journal.

Critically, Dan brings to VOICE something no technology platform can replicate: direct working relationships with the top lobbying firms in Washington. His network spans full-service shops with practices across every major federal issue area — healthcare, labor, appropriations, financial services, technology, and defense — as well as boutique specialists with deep expertise inside specific agencies, regulatory bodies, and the appropriations process. These relationships are operational today. They are not contingent on platform growth or future fundraising.

VOICE is the convergence of everything Dan has done professionally: government, law, policy, advocacy, and a firsthand understanding of how decisions actually get made in Washington — and why most Americans never have a seat at that table.
